Commercial Sign Repair & Maintenance Services

A dark sign hides your business. We get it lit and working again, whatever type you have.

Neon Sign Repair

We are one of the few local shops that still work on real neon. Broken tubes, gas refills, failing transformers, worn electrodes. We track down the problem and bring the glow back.

LED Retrofits & Repair

Dead modules, dim sections, and color that has drifted. We replace failed LED components or convert an aging neon or fluorescent sign to efficient LED that costs less to run.

Commercial & Monument Signs

Monument, pylon, cabinet, and channel letter signs. We handle electrical faults, panel and face replacements, and the structural fixes that keep a large sign safe and readable.

What does a dark sign cost you?

Every hour your sign sits dark, drivers roll past without knowing you are open. They do not see your name. They pick the business down the road that they can actually read.

When a sign quits, you need someone who answers the phone and gets it handled. That is the whole job here. Call and you talk to a real person, often Tor, not a call center three states away.

Signs East has kept New Hampshire and North Shore businesses lit since 2012. Flickering neon, dead LEDs, storm damage, electrical faults. We find the cause and fix it.

Can your neon sign be repaired?

Real neon has a look LED still cannot match. The warm glow, the vintage character, the way it pulls eyes off the road. When it starts to fade, most owners assume the whole sign is done. Usually it is not.

Flickering, buzzing, or a tube that has gone dark often comes down to a part, not the whole sign. Repairing it keeps the original craftsmanship and saves you the cost of building new.

  • Tube repairs and gas refills
  • Transformer and ballast replacement
  • Electrode and wiring fixes
  • Mounting and structural repairs

Sign Repair Questions

It depends on the sign and the part. A loose connection or a swapped transformer can be a same-visit fix. A custom neon tube or a special-order LED module takes longer because we wait on the part. What you will not get is a national franchise leaving you dark for three months. We tell you the real timeline up front and move as soon as we have what the job needs.

Some neon work happens right at your building, like transformer swaps, wiring, and mounting. When a glass tube is cracked or needs new gas, that part comes back to the shop where we can work on it properly, then we reinstall it. We handle the pickup and the reinstall so you are not coordinating it.

Yes. We retrofit fluorescent and neon cabinets, channel letters, and monument signs to LED. Your sign keeps its cabinet and structure while the internals get swapped for LED that draws less power and lasts far longer. For most owners it costs less than building a new sign and drops the electric bill on the sign every month after.

It comes down to the damage and the age of the sign. A rough rule: if a repair runs more than about half the cost of a new sign, replacing it often makes more sense. We give you an honest read and quote both ways so you can pick what fits your budget.

Flickering usually points to a failing transformer, a loose connection, or an aging tube. Sometimes it is a quick fix. Sometimes the transformer needs replacing. Either way it is worth a look before the sign goes fully dark and takes the whole storefront glow with it.

Yes, and we do it often. We repair signs no matter who built them, including national franchise signs, competitor work, and decades-old installs from companies that are long gone. Bring us what you have and we will figure out how to fix it.

We can set up a regular maintenance schedule for businesses with multiple signs or several locations. Catching a small issue early keeps it from turning into an expensive one, and it keeps every sign looking sharp through the year.
